Sharing and transferring valuable knowledge is central to LIFE Climate Forest. Spread out over the project years, we organise several knowledge moments in which we work with owners, managers, policymakers and other stakeholders on climate-smart forest management. A good example is the three-day Climate Smart Forest Management course we organised for forest managers in the autumn of 2023. These courses included forest soil, forest climate, resilient species and provenances. We concluded each course day with an excursion. A total of 150 forest managers participated from, among others, the Forest Groups, Staatsbosbeheer and provincial landscapes.

But there was more interest... which is why the Probos Foundation is continuing this successful course. During this course (which starts on 13 February 2025), managers, policymakers and other interested parties can learn more about how to incorporate management measures to make the forest more resilient to a changing climate

This course was developed from LIFE Climate Forest by de Bosgroepen and Staatsbosbeheer in collaboration with Wageningen University and Stichting Probos.
