Monitoring planting in sample forests

- Province of North Brabant is organising the Biodiversity and Habitats symposium for the 12th time on 3 December 2025. And this year too, we will be there... At 12.00h in the Bois Le-Duc Hall: The Brabant forest of the future by Etiënne Thomassen (Bosgroep Zuid Nederland).

“For a long time, the ideal forest of the future was the undisturbed forest of the past. But that reference from the past no longer fits the future. The climate of soon is simply too different and it is also changing far too fast. In the LIFE Climate Forest project, the Forest Groups together with Staatsbosbeheer are looking at how forest managers can deal with this. How do we maximise the chances of passing on a healthy and diverse forest to the next generation? What measures should forest managers take to achieve this now? What is your strategy when the future is uncertain?”

To the symposium site.

👆 highly recommended to those who managed to get a seat, as the symposium is completely booked.

The province of North Brabant is organising the symposium for all professionals and volunteers who put their heart and soul into nature in Brabant: site managers, employees of municipalities, water boards, nature organisations, agricultural nature associations or consultancies - this event offers a valuable opportunity to share knowledge and work together to preserve the beautiful nature of Brabant.
