Sharing and transferring valuable knowledge is central to LIFE Climate Forest. Spread over the project years, we organize various knowledge moments in which we work on climate smart forest management together with owners, managers, policy makers and other stakeholders. A good example of this is the three-day Climate Smart Forest Management course that we organized for forest managers in the autumn of 2023. During these courses, attention was paid to forest soil, forest climate, resilient species and origins. We ended each course day with an excursion. A total of 150 forest managers participated from, among others, de Bosgroepen, Staatsbosbeheer and the ‘provinciale landschappen’.

But there was more interest… and that is why the Probos Foundation is continuing this successful course. During this course (which starts on February 13, 2025), managers, policymakers and other interested parties can learn more about how you can take management measures to make the forest more resilient to a changing climate

This course was developed from LIFE Climate Forest by de Bosgroepen and Staatsbosbeheer in collaboration with Wageningen University and the Probos Foundation.
